Uncover the secrets of a Georgian home in this beautiful, Grade I listed townhouse belonging to the family of Enlightenment architect Joseph Pickford. Discover lavishly dressed rooms, the servants’ quarters and the period kitchen with an open range and scullery and learn from our knowledgeable guides how the house and gardens have changed over their 250-year life. Enter a magical world of toy theatre on the top floor where you will encounter enchanting scenes from intricate theatres including Sleeping Beauty and Dracula. With a changing programme of exhibitions, Pickford’s House is a hidden gem with lots to discover.

Tours last for one hour and are available for groups of 8-12 people, for smaller groups, please get in touch. Pre-booked tours available during museum opening times, subject to availability, please get in touch for details.

The Group Tour of Pickford's House is part of a Suite of Derby Tours that are near enough to walk from venue to venue.  The other tours are Group Tour of the Museum of Making at Derby Silk Mill, Derby Cathedral Group Tour, Group Tour of the Derby Museum and Art Gallery and Derby Riverboat Group Trips.  Each tour lasts approximately one hour.
