Join us on Friday 12th January from 6 - 8pm as we celebrate the opening of two incredible new exhibitions in Deda’s gallery spaces, both with a focus on printmaking.

TRACES by Green Door Printmaking Studios

Green Door Printmaking Studio is proud to present a collaborative exhibition of prints; TRACES.

All printmaking is fundamentally about creating an impression and leaving a mark. Green Door Printmakers were invited to create a body of work to examine and explore the concept of ‘traces’, an open directive to which every artist has responded, whilst also utilising Green Door Printmaking Studio’s ethos of environmentally sound printmaking practices.

The Exhibition offers the opportunity to look at printmaking in its many forms and illustrates how through individual interpretation, both figurative and literal impressions are made on the Artist, Artwork and Audience.

IN/BETWEEN by Lina Avramidou

Lina Avramidou is a London based artist working primarily in Printmaking and Book Arts. She experiments with image and structure to create limited edition prints and sculptural bookworks.

Avramidou’s work explores notions of memory, place and time and draws inspiration from the urban and natural landscape and more specifically from processes of decay, abandonment, erosion and the wear of time.

She exhibits regularly in the UK and abroad and her work is found in several private and public collections internationally.

‘IN/BETWEEN’ is her first solo exhibition in Derby and features a series of etchings, monotypes and drypoints made between 2019-2023.
