Description
Inspired by The Tiny World of Toy Theatres at Pickford’s House and the work of ‘The Last Tinseller’ Joseph Hope Williams, join us for an introduction to Tinselling.
Tinselling or creating tinsel pictures, was a popular early-to-mid nineteen-century hobby. Starting with ‘penny-plain’ or ‘tuppenny-coloured’ prints the art of tinselling adds, paints, fabrics and metallic foils to create vibrant, eye-catching images. Intricate yet accessible add a touch of theatrical magic to your artwork using the art of tinselling.
This session is only suitable for children aged 7 and over. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
