Meet the Local Defence Volunteers (LDV) at Pickford’s House
Learn about the Second World War in this 1940s re-enactment presented in partnership with The Derbyshire Living History Society.
Fancy spotting your name next to your favourite object when you visit Pickford’s House for Dr Johnson’s wedding re-enactment? Why not adopt an object at Pickford’s House! Starting from £10 you can adopt one of our quirky objects from a mahogany cheese cradle to a toy theatre, and you’ll get your name on a tag attached to the object. Adopting an object, is a great way to help Derby Museums care for its unique collection and remain fantastic and free for everyone.
