Description
If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids during May half-term, then this wildlife-themed craft experience is it. Join us in the Denby Craft Studio as we celebrate British wildlife and get creative with our choice of clay, paint, and craft activities.
Choose from one of the following three activities (recommended age is 3+ years):
1. Paint your own Small Denby Plate (7 inches): Hand-paint or stencil wildlife designs onto one of our Denby plates using colourful glazes. Our team will fire in the kilns, ready for you to collect at a later date and treasure forever. £10 per plate.
OR
2. Play with Clay: Let their imagination run wild as they create bugs and bee shapes with our Derbyshire clay. Take away on the day to air-dry and paint at home. £7 per child.
OR
3. Craft a bug hotel: Make a cosy little home for some creepy crawlies from natural and recycled materials. Personalise the wooden structure by adding a name and get set to welcome little visitors this spring. £7 per child.
ADDITIONAL WILDLIFE TRAIL: There’s also the option to book an additional ticket for our wildlife trail around Denby Pottery Village. Follow our clues and see if you can crack the code. Take home a fun fact sheet to learn more about our British wildlife. Tickets for the trail are £3 per child and must be purchased in conjunction with a craft session.
PLUS, add on a ticket to help create ‘Calvin the caterpillar’ for an extra 50p. Paint a colourful design onto a stone during your craft session and then pop it over to the Denby Gardens to join his body. Let’s see how long we can make him!
Whilst you’re here, help build our Big Bug House in the Denby Gardens and take a photo with friends and family at the butterfly photo point. Tag us on Facebook at @VisitDenby or on Instagram @denbypotteryvillage for a chance to be featured on our socials.
