Description
Linocut printing can be used in a multitude of ways to create bespoke art prints, greeting cards, wrapping paper and more. In this beginner’s session you will be guided through the tools and processes used to create simple linocut blocks and how to print with them. We will practise using the tools to make a simple linocut block together, and with your newfound knowledge and skills you will then create your own design and print, taking inspiration from objects on display in the Museum of Making. Workshop participants will also be able to take their print blocks home to continue to their linocut printing journey.
This session is only suitable for children aged over 12 due to the sharp tooling. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults must book a FREE ticket if they are present to supervise and assist their child. Adults making their own linocuts must purchase a ticket.
Please Note: participants should wear clothing that they don’t mind getting dirty and aprons will be provided. There will be a 1-hour lunch break from 12-1pm.
