Description
Frankie Archer composes and plays with heart and sensitive curiosity. She started out surrounded by Northumbrian folk music, and draws deeply on this in her own fiddle playing, singing and writing, being described by Radio 2 Folk Show’s Mark Radcliffe as "fascinating and intoxicating". Her follow up release, “Close to the Coalhouse Door”, was chosen for the BBC Introducing Mixtape and hailed as “Extraordinary” by Tom Robinson, and she continues to gain fans, drawn in both by traditional and modern styles.
Using fiddle, vocals, loops and electronics, Frankie's take on music respects traditions and brings them into a fresh context through her own perception.
7.30pm. Opening time 6.30pm.
