First Fridays: The 1st Derbyshire Drag Showcase, supporting the Derby and Derbyshire drag scene and local LGBTQ+ performers.

This November, as part of First Fridays, Derby Museums and drag artist and producer Liv launch the 1st Derbyshire Drag Showcase, an opportunity for drag performers within Derby and Derbyshire to meet, connect, and share their skills and talents with others.
Drag is excellent example of the ethos of making the Museum of Making embodies and those chosen to perform will receive a year’s membership to the Museum of Making, with access to the prospect hot desking space and equipment and staff within the workshop.

About Liv

Liv is a nonbinary diva and drag performer working in various drag scenes across the UK. They have a passion for drag scenes outside of London and other major cities that are often overlooked and aim to cultivate drag culture wherever they go.

Liv has been an associate artist at the Norwich Arts Centre since 2021 and collaborates with a wide range of performers from various cities, creating vibrant, diverse and meaningful events that celebrate, entertain and centre LGBT+ communities.

They currently host and produce the Nottingham and Norwich Drag Pageants alongside co-creator, Moth. These competitive showcases give performers the opportunity to perform on larger stages than they may have previously and take their drag to the next level.
