Description
Get involved in our fun, family making workshops, creating sculptures and placards for the Derby Festé Riverlife Procession, taking place on Saturday 23rd September.
Join us at the Museum of Making to celebrate river life by making the birds, fish and mammals of the River Derwent. We’ll be using willow stems, tissue paper, card and paint to create colourful and vibrant displays. Your creations will then be paraded through the city as part of this year’s spectacular Riverlife Procession, watched by hundreds of people. You can make your own sculpture or donate your creation!
Workshops are suitable for children aged 8 years and over with accompanying adults. There will be lots of guidance and plenty of materials. We can’t wait to see what you create!
Please pre-book your session to ensure availability, however there will be limited drop-in places available on the day.
The final session on Saturday 23 September 3-5pm will be drop-in.
Presented as part of Derby Festé, in partnership with Derby Museums.
