Description

The Incora County Ground will play host to a One Day International between England Women and Pakistan on Thursday 23 May 2024.

The number-two ranked ODI side in the world, England return to a happy hunting ground at Derby, where they have only lost once since 2017, with Derbyshire’s own Sarah Glenn and the best ODI bowler in the world, Sophie Ecclestone, will be hoping to spin the home side to another victory.

A number of England’s Ashes stars from the current series will be lining up to take on Pakistan, with the likes of Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sophia Dunkley and Issy Wong fresh off their Women’s Premier League exploits.

Pakistan boast the likes of Bismah Maroof, who has more than 3,000 ODI runs, and the big-hitting Muneeba Ali, who last year struck Pakistan’s first-ever T20 century, and also boasts a hundred in the 50-over format.

The last ODI to be held at The Incora County Ground saw captain, Heather Knight, score an exceptional century to guide her side to victory over New Zealand in 2021, while England Women will face Sri Lanka in T20 action this September.

The Incora County Ground has long been one of the country’s premiere venues for women’s cricket, with the IT20s against South Africa and India last year each boasting record viewing figures.
