Description

Join us on a musical expedition to a brighter future led by brilliant young minds from Derby. Energy explores innovative solutions to the energy and climate crises through brand-new music and classical pieces performed by local students and Derby's orchestra, Sinfonia Viva.

This concert marks the grand finale of an ambitious project that has engaged over 100 students across Derby. The creative students at Firs Primary School, Becket Primary School, The Bemrose School, and Derby College have crafted music and songs through collaborative workshops with Sinfonia Viva.

Educational workshops, supported by Science Director, Brogen Murphy, and the Learning Team from Derby Museums, have illuminated the story of energy, spanning the first wind and watermills, through fossil fuels, to our transition back towards sustainable energy sources.

The invaluable insights from Rolls-Royce plc engineers, who have contributed their real-life experiences and expertise, have further enriched this remarkable learning experience.

Energy is a collaborative production by Sinfonia Viva, Derby Museums, Rolls-Royce plc and Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership, uniting forces to inspire a brighter, more sustainable future.
