Description
Want to make a positive change in your part of DERBY, or be inspired by others who are? THIS IS FOR YOU!
Join Eden Project Communities at Electric Daisy as we find new ways to connect with each other and with nature, during this free one-day event.
We’ll be joined by Jamie Quince-Starkey, from Down To Earth, for a talk and tour in the morning, followed by a choice of several great workshops.
We’re the organisation behind The Big Lunch - a campaign bringing communities together to share food, friendship and fun. Whilst food will be provided, we’d love you to bring something shareable to the table if you’re able to, in true Big Lunch style!
We’ll wrap up the day by coming together to think about the steps we all can take to create positive action in our communities.
Whether you already run your own community project, you’ve got an idea you want to explore or you’re keen to find a small step you could take – come along to hear local stories, take part in creative workshops and network with community-minded people local to you.
Each place is funded and, to ensure our resources go further, we recommend no more than three individuals representing a community group, with each person signing up for a single place.
(Please note: this event is a five-hour experience aimed at adults over the age of 18 and includes walks).
This Spring we’re running a series of events just like this one across the whole of the UK. Join in and be part of something bigger – let’s make positive change together!
A warm welcome awaits!
