Derby CAMRA's Mini Beer Festival

Description

Derby CAMRA will hold a beer festival to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Branch between the 3rd and 6th July 2024.

The festival will be spread across three pubs, all close to the railway station in Derby.

Alexandra Hotel, Siddals Road, Derby
Brunswick Inn, Railway Terrace, Derby
Victoria Inn, Midland Place, Derby

Birthday Party
We will hold a birthday party at the Alexnadra Hotel on the 3rd July to celebrate 50 years of Derby CAMRA. We will start to gather at 4pm in the saloon and at 5pm we will have a few speaches to remember the Real Ale scene over the last half-century. The party is open to all members past and present.

Beer
Derby CAMRA will have a stillage in the Brunswick and Victoria pubs, together featuring 35 beers. The Alexandra Hotel will sell an extended range of beers including a one-off special. In addition all pubs will also sell their usual range of real ale, cider and perry including specials.

Specials
We have been over to Castle Rock brewery in Nottingham to brew a special anniversary beer on their Pilot Project kit.

The Castle Rock Pilot Project was used on the 29th May 2024 to brew a special beer for Derby CAMRA's anniversay which will be on sale exclusively at the Alexandra Hotel.
The Brunswick brewery are also brewing a special beer for Derby CAMRA's anniversay which will be on sale exclusively at the Brunswick Inn. We also have specials from Dancing Duck and Leatherbritches.

Beer List
The beer list is still being formulated but the focus will be on rare and interesting local beers. So far we have beer from Ashover, Crich, Dancing Duck, Muirhouse, New Buldings and the Sirit Vaults..

Food
The Alexandra Hotel will provide their usual range of filled rolls, sausage rolls and pork pies.

There will be food provided during the normal hours at the Brunswick Inn, hopefully, also including a BBQ on some days.

The Victoria Inn are hoping to provide a variety of burgers to suit all tastes.
