Description

Create your own work inspired by objects and artworks within our History Makers: Unfolded Exhibition.

We are all History Makers, and this workshop accompanying Derby Museums’ exhibition helps to celebrate and explore that via looking at artefacts and pictures of Derby’s truly remarkable female makers and icons.  Hosted by award winning poet and short fiction writer, Deborah Tyler-Bennett, the workshop considers how themes and images from the exhibition can be used as inspiration for creative writing.  Over two hours (with a short break) writers will select their favourite and most inspiring museum objects/ artworks and create new work from them as one legacy of this exhibition.  So, come along, be creative – and make a bit of history of your own.
