Welcome to A Jurassic Day out in Cathedral Quarter!

The biggest FREE Dinosaur event in Derbyshire, funded by the Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District

Meet the stars of the show in the Market Place arena:

• Zeus – the largest walking T-Rex in Europe!
• Emily Bronty – the Brontosaurus with a 15ft long neck!
• Tank – the gentle giant Triceratops!

You can also train to be a Dinosaur Ranger where you can learn how to look after and control the wild dinosaurs!

Calling all young explorers and budding palaeontologists! Are you ready to embark on an epic adventure to uncover prehistoric treasures? Buried in the sand are two mighty Dinosaur fossils. Grab a brush and dive into the excavation to discover what lies beneath!

Dino World Trail 
Grab your smartphone and embark on the ultimate adventure with the Dino World Trail! Get set to unleash the magic as you crack open ten mystical eggs, each with a surprise dinosaur waiting to be discovered in augmented reality!

Locate the special QR codes in business windows and scan them to watch dinosaur characters come to life before your eyes! Once you’ve befriended all ten dinos and posed for selfies with them, you unlock a treasure trove of free digital prizes! So let the adventure begin!

Crafting with Scraggy Moo 
Get ready for a roaring good time with Scraggy Moo and take part in a Jurassic crafting adventure! Create your very own dinosaur-themed souvenirs that you can proudly take home and show off to your friends and family. Get ready for a dino-mite time filled with laughter, creativity and let’s make some roaring memories together!

Facepainting 
Unleash your wild side and visit our face painting stand! Our talented face painters are here to turn your faces into the fiercest of dinosaurs. Don’t miss out on the dino-mite fun – come and get your faces painted and let the prehistoric party begin!
