Kids Summer Crafts - Paint, Make and Craft

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids during the summer holidays, then this is it. Join us in the Denby Craft Studio as we celebrate summer and get creative with our choice of clay, paint and craft activities with a new craft to enjoy every week.

Choose from one of the following three activities (recommended age is 3+ years):

1. Paint their own Small Denby Plate (7 inches): Hand-paint or stencil summer designs onto one of our Denby plates using colourful glazes. Our team will fire in the kilns, ready for you to collect at a later date and treasure forever. £12 per plate.
OR
2. Play with Clay: Let their imagination run wild as they create summer-inspired shapes with our Derbyshire clay. Take away on the day to air-dry and paint at home. £7 per child.
OR
3. Summer-Themed Crafts: The following ‘make and take home’ craft activities will be running weekly throughout the holidays (subject to availability). £7 per child.

Week 1: Flip Flop Magnets (Wed 24th July - Sun 4th August)
Week 2: Salt Pot Vases (Mon 5th Aug - Sun 11th Aug)
Week 3: Seaside Hoops (Mon 12th Aug - Sun 18th Aug)
Week 4: Seaside Huts (Mon 19th Aug - Sun 25th Aug)
Week 5: Clay Week (Mon 26th Aug - Tues 3rd Sept)

ADDITIONAL SUMMER TRAIL: There’s also the option to book an additional ticket for our summer trail around Denby Pottery Village. Follow our clues and see if you can crack the code. Tickets for the trail are £3 per child and must be purchased in conjunction with a craft session.

TIME: Choose from the available session times. Your chosen craft session lasts for 50 minutes.

Notes: All activities are self-led, but our friendly team will be on hand to offer any support. You are also welcome to paint-a-pot or enjoy another craft activity during your 50-minute experience if time allows. Additional costs apply and can be paid for on the day.

- We will be getting creative with paint, pens and clay and therefore recommend that children wear items they don't mind getting messy.

- Children must always be supervised by an adult(s) and a minimum of 1 adult per 3 children is required. Please also refrain from eating inside the Denby Craft Studio, thank you.

- Denby Pottery Painting: The following Denby glaze colours, violet PT& and bluebell blue PT18 contain a degree of cobalt which is an allergen.

- Denby Craft Activities: some activities may include use of feathers or balloons please make us aware of any allergies before your visit.

Visitor parking is available for free in our customer car park within easy reach of the Welcome Desk located inside the Denby Craft Studio.

Upon arrival, please head to the Denby Craft Studio and show your tickets (on your mobile or print out) to a member of the team.

BOOKINGS: Denby Pottery Village will make every effort to ensure that your half-term craft session goes ahead on the confirmed date and time. However, should unforeseen conditions prevail, an alternative date or time will be offered where possible or a full refund will be given. Unfortunately, this event is non - transferable and refunds cannot be given for cancellations.

Our great selection of shops are open every day (except for Christmas Day and Easter Sunday) between 9am – 5pm (Monday – Saturday) and 10am – 4pm on Sundays for you enjoy during your visit.

There is also a choice of two eateries (Bourne's Coffee Shop & Bistro and The Farm Shop Café) serving a wide variety of homecooked dishes, breakfasts, homemade cakes, drinks and more.
