Hidden behind the Guildhall is one of Derby's greatest treasures: Derby Market Hall.
Be greeted with the fabulous smell of toasting pyclets from the famous Pyclet Parlour as you browse the wealth of unusual, classic and traditional stalls, shops and cafe bars.
If you have never been or have not been for a long time, there has never been a better time to take another look especially at the fabulous Victorian architecture whilst you rummage for bargains.
The grade II listed building was designed by Melbourne engineer, Rowland Mason Ordish in 1866, who also worked on the single spanned roof of St Pancras Station, London, which has a comparable splendor to the roof of the Market Hall.
Opening times: Monday to Saturday from 7.30am to 5.30pm.
