The Standing Order
Description
This historic building was originally constructed as the Crompton & Evans Union Bank and later served as the city branch of NatWest until its closure in 1993. Before its life as a bank, it was the former home of Joseph Wright of Derby, the celebrated 18th-century painter whose work helped define the Age of Enlightenment. Today, the building is fittingly known as The Standing Order.
Now one of Derby’s most popular meeting places, The Standing Order is a Wetherspoon pub offering a wide range of drinks and classic pub food, making it a go-to spot for a relaxed meal or a night out in the city
Ideal for a casual night out for a few drinks and bite to eat.
