Derby Market Hall – A quick, inspiring stop for families—especially curious kids and budding architects! Marvel at the soaring glass roof and intricate Victorian ironwork, designed by Rowland Mason Ordish, the same engineer behind London’s iconic St Pancras. Built using Derby-sourced materials, this historic space is full of character and local pride.

All aboard for railway fun! Don't miss The Greatest Gathering Free Family Fringe Event  for model train displays, rail-themed board games, vintage videos, and hands-on railway history - plus plenty of friendly enthusiasts ready to share cool facts and stories. It’s fun, free, and packed with discovery for the whole family!
