Derby Season of Light (DSOL) 2024 is the annual celebration of our city and county’s dazzling diversity and creativity. It brings together communities, shines a light on emerging talent, and partners with a whole host of exciting organisations/venues to deliver events for everyone to enjoy.

The festival is spearheaded by Surtal Arts, a combined South Asian arts organisation which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

In the coming weeks and months, Surtal Arts and its key partners will host a series of inspiring arts activities and events across Derby and Derbyshire shining a spotlight on the universal theme of ‘Light’ and ‘Climate Change’.

Whether it’s created by professional or upcoming artists, in an exhibition or on-stage, in-person or online, Surtal Arts and its partners are proud to showcase high-quality, meaningful creative work that celebrates the diversity of Derby.
