Description
Join us for nature themed activities and learn about rewilding Allestree.
We have lots available to do between 1:00pm and 3:30pm with activities led by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Derby City Council and Friends of Allestree Park.
• Nature Tots has come to Allestree! Come along for nature-based sensory play. We will be running regular story times throughout the session with a fun themed activity.
• Join our Junior Rangers and learn how to use tools, wood and willow to make your very own bushcraft bird feeder from scratch (suitable for children aged 11+).
• Take part in bioblitz, with a chance to learn how to help us survey plants and animals in Derbyshire
• Make a bumble bee.
• Have a go at using Friends of Allestree Park ‘Love Exploring’ App.
• Wild wellbeing activities.
• Go Potty with Team Wilder.
• Self-led nature trail.
Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and Derby City Council will be leading walks around the park, answering questions, hearing ideas and discussing options for delivering the Community Rewilding vision for Allestree Park.
Meet near the Allestree Park car park on Duffield Road, Derby (DE22 2EU).
Please note this is an outdoor activity therefore we would recommend appropriate clothing and footwear.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Dogs are welcome on a lead.
Toilets will be available.
