Description

Are you looking for a Valentine’s date with a difference?

Saturday 11th February: 5pm, 6pm, 6.45pm & 7pm
Sunday 12th February: 4pm, 5pm, 5.45pm & 6pm

Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s or Palentine’s this year, come and ‘have a go’ on the potter’s wheel and hand-throw your own pot together during this fun experience. Complete your evening with a cosy 3-course Bistro meal and a complimentary glass of Prosecco or freshly squeezed orange juice at Bourne’s Coffee Shop & Bistro.

Your evening starts in the Denby Craft Studio with a demonstration on the Potters’ wheel from one of our brilliant Craft Potters, and then it’s over to you both to ‘have a go’. A guaranteed giggle as together you create your own pot on the Potters’ wheel during this 45-minute experience. Left in the skilled hands of our Craft Potter, your creation will be kiln fired and finished in a beautiful Denby glaze ready for you to collect at a later date and to keep as a memory of your experience.

Afterwards, head over to Bourne’s Coffee Shop & Bistro to enjoy a 3-Course Bistro Meal at your table for two*. It's table service throughout the evening and a special handcrafted Denby keepsake is also included for each couple. Laithwaite’s wine by the bottle, plus beer and cider will also be available at an additional cost.

Choose a starter, main and dessert from the Valentine’s Bistro menu and then pre-order your 3-course meal at the booking stage. We can’t wait to welcome you!

*Please note that bookings made for Saturday 11th Feb at 6.45pm and Sunday 12th Feb at 5.45pm will enjoy their Valentine’s Bistro meal upon arrival, followed by their Pottery Throwing Experience.

PRICE: £120 per couple.

For £60pp you get to ‘have a go’ on the Potters’ wheel together with your joint creation glazed and fired for you to collect as a truly personal memento of your evening as well as a 3-course Bistro meal with a glass of bubbly and a special Denby keepsake to take home.

NOTE: Please note that your 45-minute Pottery Throwing Experience is available for 2 couples to book, so your experience may be with other participants or, why not make it a double date and book with another couple or friends?
Aprons will be provided, but please note that the pottery-throwing process can be messy, so any clothing may receive splashes of clay or get clay dust.
On occasion, some pots may crack or break in the kiln firing process and this is beyond our control. In the unfortunate event that this should happen, we will contact you to discuss it.

BOOKINGS: Require a minimum of 48 hours notice
Unfortunately, refunds cannot be given for cancellations. Denby Pottery Village will make every effort to ensure that your Valentine’s Pottery Throwing & Dinner Date goes ahead on the confirmed date and time. However, should extreme weather, or other unforeseen conditions prevail, an alternative date or time will be offered or a full refund given?
