Make, create, and explore at Pickford’s House
Part of Derby Museums, Pickford’s House is a unique museum in the Georgian Home of Enlightenment architect Joseph Pickford and Philanthropist Mary Pickford.
On Saturday 7th October, we invite you to meet the people of Pickford’s House, explore the history of the house and the wonderful exhibitions it holds. Discover ‘The Tiny Worlds of Toy Theatre’ the best of Derby Museums’ world-class toy theatre collection, which is one of the largest in the country. It features toy and model theatres from The Frank Bradley Collection, Anthony Denning and practising toy theatre makers Joseph Hope Williams, Trevor Griffin and Alison Englefield. With interactive making activities and workshops suitable for the whole family, make, create and explore at Pickford’s House.

Back for its second year, the Georgian Derbyshire Festival will take place between Saturday 16th September and Sunday 8th October. Starting in Buxton and then moving across to Cromford Mills, Belper and Derby, guests have the opportunity to experience, tours, talks and workshops on this years themes of ‘People’ and ‘Landscapes’ in some of Derbyshire most iconic venues.
