Description
What’s your story? Facilitated by Tom Norris, this workshop is for anyone interested in creative writing, spoken word and storytelling.
Using introductory activities and techniques, each participant will come away with their own spoken word piece on the themes of identity. With the opportunity to share at the end of the session.
About Tom Norris
Tom is s a Neurodivergent actor, spoken word Artist and winner of The upReach Creative industries award, he is passionate about bringing a voice to neurodivergent young people through the use of Spoken word and storytelling.
This Workshop is presented as part ‘Rights and Independence: The Story of Disability Direct’
A National Lottery Heritage Funded project with the charity Disability Direct. Disability Direct is approaching its 30-year anniversary and is a user-led organisation with a primary function of disabled people identifying, creating, managing, and delivering services to their peers, to benefit disabled and older people in our communities. It works solely on the nationally accepted concept of the Social Model as a definition of disability and puts the disabled person at the heart of every decision.
Suitable for ages 16+.
