Description
On Thursday 21st September, Artcore will be celebrating Peace. Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on the 21st September, this is a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace.
At Artcore we will be supporting International Peace day at Artcore Gallery, starting at 10am. We will be hosting a creative arts workshop with Peace at its heart 10.30am-11:30am. At 11:45am we are excited to be unveiling the ‘357 Squares For Peace’ blankets from Derby’s twinned city of Osnabruck at the Derby City Council House, joined by many supporters of Derby’s twinning partnership. At 12:30 we will share food together at Artcore Café and reflect on ideas of Peace. We look forward to welcoming you all.
Derby Peace Week is taking place between 18th and 22nd of September 2023. During the week Derby will host a variety of cultural events promoting peace, antiracism and protection of the environment. Coordinated by 19 different local progressive organisations.
