Description
The Matlock Bath Illuminations return this autumn, running from running from 7th September to 27th October 2024.
This much-loved event features a spectacular parade of illuminated boats along the River Derwent, taking place every weekend during the season. On non-firework Saturdays in September, the parade begins between 7.30pm and 8.00pm, adjusting with the fading light, and finishes by 9.00pm. On Sundays in September, the parade also starts between 7.30pm and 8.00pm, lasting one hour. October brings earlier start times, with the boat parade from 7.00pm to 8.00pm on Sundays.
For firework nights on Saturdays in October (5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th), the parade runs from 7.00pm to 8.20pm, followed by a stunning firework display at 8.30pm, best viewed from the Bandstand area of Derwent Gardens. The final night, 27/10/2024, offers the same schedule with the parade from 7.00pm to 8.20pm and fireworks at 8.30pm.
