Description
In 2018, Derby’s Leigh Timmis became the fastest person to cycle across Europe, from the west coast of Portugal to the edge of Siberia, in just 16 days, 10 hours and 45 minutes – breaking the previous world record by 8 days and 17 hours. But he embarked on far more than just a physical journey.
Although test results showed that he already had the physical ability of an elite athlete, something was holding him back: his troubled mind. With the support of psychologists and sports science experts, Leigh confronted the past.
The Race of Truth is the remarkable story of personal transformation and the astonishing feats we can accomplish when we face up to our deepest fears.
