First Fridays: LEGO® Lates with Nick Tyler

£12

Date: 5 Apr 2024 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Description

As part of The LEGO® Lakes exhibition at the Museum of Making, join us for an evening of enthusiastic conversation and model-making with comedian, writer, and Lego builder Nick Tyler.

The event begins with a chat and Q&A about LEGO® as a hobby, an artform, and why it fills Nick’s heart with joy. We continue with a showcase of Nick’s work, featuring hints and tips for building, before a social LEGO® play session, where participants can take home what they make!

About Nick Tyler

Nick Tyler lives in a heap of books, bricks and cats just outside Nottingham. By day, he is the publishing coordinator and designer for Aconyte (the fiction division of boardgame giant Asmodee), wrangling art and text into the shape of books. By night, Nick escapes reality by indulging in a host of creative worlds including writing, Star Wars improvised comedy with MissImp: Improv Comedy Nottingham, building and sorting LEGO® (mostly sorting), and delving into the endless realms of science fiction and fantasy in books, films and TV.
