Description
Pull up a stool and join Josh and Courtnee by the fireside for a campfire conversation.
Over an intimate cup of tea we will explore what really makes a monster. What does a monster mean today? Where are our personal monsters? Who are the monsters in our society?
Come and discover these themes collectively and design who we think the Fireside monster is. This is a free session which is perfect for all ages and can be seen standalone or as a great addition for those wanting to see Fireside later in the evening.
About Josh and Courtnee:
Josh and Courtnee are facilitators and professional storytellers focused on using community participation to develop a queered kaleidoscope in theatre and performance.
Josh is a performance-based artist working within a variety of disciplines, focused on bringing community activism with colourful accessibility. Drawing inspiration from working class culture, The Fabulous Josh explores LGBTQ+ identity through pop culture. They use their own autobiography as the practice helping manoeuvre important and poignant questions about what it means to be an ‘artist’ and ‘activist’. As an award winning community activist Josh’s work within this sector directly feeds into the art created.
Courtnee works as a Poet, storyteller, theatre producer and facilitator. Courtnee spent a lot of her practice asking questions about community engagement and art development. Having a background in volunteering and collective community organising and collaborative speechwriting Courtnees art practice is relationship focused.
