Description
A multi-art Virtual Reality exhibition inspired by humankind and our complicated relationship with other creatures that share Planet Earth.
Showcasing the work of young people and their families who participated in a series of creative workshops using different artistic techniques from Pointillism to mask making.
Animate is a participatory art project originally conceived by Paul Broesmith. Paul and other professional artists worked with different groups at Derby Museums, Deda, and Quad to develop new works of art, creative writing, music, and dance inspired by our historical and evolving relationship with fellow animals, including companionship, working animals, predator/prey, and more.
Paul wanted the participants to create work in response to the workshop and input their own experiences with wildlife and domesticated animals. Their work can be experienced in this VR exhibition.
As per manufacturer guidelines the VR experience is only available to those aged 10 years and older, however under 10s can experience the exhibitions via a purpose-built gaming platform.
Please note this is a 30 minute experience for up to 4 people at a time.
Suitable for families. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Booking essential, limited places.
