Description
Come and sing with us on 6th June. To celebrate 50 years of Derby's twinning with Osnabruck, we are giving a free performance in Derby Market Hall - and we're opening up all our rehearsals this month to be free and open with no commitment.
We'd love as many local people as possible to experience choral singing.
Performance - We will be singing at 5.15pm in the Market Hall by Bach, Brahms, Handel, Haydn, and our community rendition of the Hallelujah chorus.
Community Rehearsal - Earlier in the day at 3pm-4pm, we'll have a community rehearsal of Handel's Hallelujah chorus in St. Werburgh's Church (Friar Gate, Derby). No singing experience necessary!
Come-and-sing day - If you want to join us for the whole performance, you can come to our all-day rehearsal on 6th June, we'll be at St Werburgh's registering from 9:30am to start at 10am until midday, then again from 1:30 until 4pm. Our musical director Paul Provost will be taking us through all 8 pieces, and sharing tips on choral singing.
Lead-up Rehearsals - Our regular Tuesday evening rehearsals are also open to the public. You can come to St. John's church, Devonshire Drive, Mickleover, 7.30pm-9.30pm on 19th May and 2nd June.
If you do want to sing with us please register in advance to help us plan.
