Little Black Book – Derby Jazz

Description

Join us at Derby's Chapel Street Arts Centre for an evening of cutting-edge jazz with award-winning pianist, composer, and bandleader Robert Mitchell. Little Black Book is Mitchell's new electric power trio, featuring Zayn Mohammed on guitar and Laurie Lowe on drums. The trio delivers a dynamic performance where keyboards and guitar continually swap lead and bass roles, creating a truly exceptional sound.

Both Zayn and Laurie have previously worked with Robert on other projects, but this is their first time performing together in this trio. Little Black Book are releasing a new album on Whirlwind this autumn.

Robert Mitchell is an internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and poet, with 13 albums and collaborations with leading jazz musicians worldwide.
