Brian Clough was an English football player and manager. He played as a striker and remains one of the Football League's highest goal scorers.

As a manager, Clough's name is closely associated with that of Taylor, who served as his assistant manager at various clubs in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. They achieved great successes with Derby County and Nottingham Forest winning the Football League with both clubs and the European Cup twice with Nottingham Forest.

This top management duo took Derby football from obscurity to national fame and are renowned for their perfect partnership.

A final accolade came after the death of both men when a statue of the duo was erected outside Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium.
