We will continue to supply all the local business that are still open with our ice cream. However for the farm it has come to the point where we have had to really evaluate our position and obviously we have to do our bit to help the government fight this virus and get it beaten.
It would no longer be right to encourage people to visit us, it wouldn’t be fair to our lovely customers or our fantastic team.
As such we have taken the decision to close as of tomorrow for the coming weekend and the next few weeks.
This is totally gutting for our family and our team. We have all worked incredibly hard to build this business over the past 12 years and to have it all under threat so quickly is devastating
We want to say a massive thank you to our team, we are absolutely amazed by their help and understanding in this matter and are so grateful to all their help in implementing additional safety measures for our customers.
We cannot thank them enough, they really are amazing and some fantastic team members have even volunteered to stay on to help with the animals and to help the family in what will be a challenging time.
It really does mean the absolute world to us and we have genuinely been blown away by their generosity and kindness. Our team really are our extended family and we are so lucky to have them with us.
It has been so hard to make this decision and our income will be effectively cut off. We appreciate these are difficult times for everyone, but if we could please ask for our annual members to keep their direct debits going to help us continue to pay for the animals food and vet care. Unfortunately our insurance company will not assist us at this time. In return we will repay you in ice cream when we re-open!
For our annual members who have paid up front we will ensure we bolt on the time we are closed to the end of your membership. We will take care of you.
Also please keep watching our Facebook page we are going to put together a series of videos about our animals, and life on the farm. Plus do our bit to help keep the kids entertained whilst they are off school.
For those that have already booked on to any events we will be contacting you with offers to postpone to a date and event of your choice.
We are going to continue supplying our ice cream to any business that is still open. However for now we have stopped production so we also have an excess of milk, our girls can’t just turn off the taps! We are going to look into the possibility of a milk round in the local areas with milk and ice cream delivered to your doors. We will hopefully have more information about this next week. This would also help us to keep paying the wages feeding the cows and all the Bluebells Animals
We realise you will have many questions we will do our best to respond as fast as possible. Please remember we will have lots to do on the farm and it may take us some time.
In the meantime thank you for all your support please take care and stay safe. We hope to see you back on the farm as soon as its possible.
