Ye Olde Dolphin Inne
Gallery
Description
Located in the heart of the historic Cathedral Quarter, the Dolphin Inn is Derby's oldest pub, dating back to 1530. The pub has remained remarkably unspoilt, with 16th century beams, heavy stone flooring, wood panelling and etched leaded windows.
The Dolphin is a long-standing partner in Derby's real ale scene and boasts cosy snugs, wood fires and a restaurant serving up classic pub fare.
Oh, the Dolphin is haunted too and forms part of Derby's infamous and very popular ghost walks, led by TV's own ghost-hunter general, Richard Felix.
Expect about all sorts of ghostly goings on involving Dick Turpin’s lover, Bonnie Prince Charlie and some Lady in Blue.
Probably the most characterful pub in Derby, with a great selection of guest ales.
