Between the two towns of Ashbourne and Derby, nestled in the picturesque village of Brailsford is the bustling white building we call home. Newly renovated in February 2025, The Tasting Club is where true culinary magic happens.

The Tasting Club is a new and exciting ingredient- led Dinner Club which opened in 2022, with the idea of giving food lovers a memorable journey through ten wow-factor courses, with a welcoming atmosphere that feels much more ‘FUN-Dining’ than fine!

Expect playful spins on nostalgic childhood classics, unusual and intriguing visuals, and twists on humble favourites you never knew could blow you away! Expect orgasmic cocktails and fine wine prepared by our Maestro Manager Ben and expect music that makes you want to get up and dance because who says you can’t have fun in a fancy restaurant?

Our Chef/ Owner George Bloor was named Best Chef in Derbyshire at the young age of 21. Now having over ten years of experience cooking in Michelin awarded kitchens around the country, he left his post at previous The Lighthouse in Ashbourne, to set up his first solo venture.
