Description
Your Mate's Ex & Lilly Sphire at Mr Shaws House for Independent Venue Week 2027
Celebrate Independent Venue Week 2027 with an electrifying night of live music at Mr Shaws House in Derby, featuring headline performance from Your Mate’s Ex and support from East Midlands electronic artist Lilly Sphire.
Inspired by the Manchester rave scene of the 1980s and 1990s alongside the indie-electronic bloghouse era, Your Mate’s Ex blend disco, indie and electronic influences to create a high-energy sound packed with groovy basslines, vibrant brass and infectious beats.
Often compared to artists such as Charli XCX, the band combines British vocals with dancefloor-ready electronic production, delivering a modern take on classic disco and club sounds.
Supporting on the night is Lilly Sphire, a rising electronic artist and producer whose trance-infused progressive house sound has earned recognition from BBC Introducing. Her latest single, Be Adored, showcases uplifting dance music inspired by self-love and contemporary electronic pop.
Doors open at 7pm with music continuing until 11pm. Expect funky electronic sounds, disco energy and an unforgettable evening of live music in one of Derby’s most distinctive independent venues.
Advance tickets are £10 plus booking fee, with additional tickets available on the door subject to availability.
