Description
Our Takeover Day is back on Sunday 21 May, with all the events in one location at Derby College (Roundhouse campus). You will be able to buy a Day Pass to enable you to attend as many events as you want that day.
Each event will last 50 minutes (40 mins event, 10 mins Q&A) and we have planned 10 minutes between each event to enable people to comfortably move between rooms.
Derby College has the benefit of FREE car parking, but please do not leave cars overnight, and has refreshments with a Starbucks concession offering drinks and snacks.
How to book your events:
We have planned the Takeover Day so that it is possible to attend all the events during the day. You must book for each event you want to attend with the Pass as we cannot guarantee tickets will still be available when you arrive on the day.
We will send you a booking form so you can book your events on Takeover Day direct with us, please do not book them on the website. If you have any questions or queries, please email: hello@derbybookfestival.co.uk
Please send us your booking form as early as possible but by at least one week before (Friday 12 May) the Festival starts.
You can choose from the following list:
- Sunday Papers
- Julia Hollander: Why We Sing
- Greg Mosse: The Coming Darkness
- Patrick Gale: My Writing Life
- Gothic Novels with Laura Purcell & Kate Griffin: The Whispering Muse & Fyneshade
- Lisa Nandy MP: All In: How We Build a Country That Works
- Valerie Hardy: Old Derbyshire and New Worlds: The Jeffreys of Hungry Bentley
- Madeleine Bunting: The Seaside
Please note: tickets for the Festival Quiz and all Writing Workshops must be booked separately as they are not included in the Takeover Day pass.
