An event at Derby Market Hall in honour of South Asian Heritage Month 2025.
The Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Employee Support Network (BAESN), in honour of South Asian Heritage Month ’25 (SAHM), a national celebration launched in 2020, are hosting an event on 18th July 2025 at the Market Hall. The theme of this year’s SAHM is ‘Roots to Routes’.
Derby-based author Sangita Dosanjh will share the story of her father, Ajit Singh Dosanjh and his journey from a small village in India to here in Derby. The talk is accompanied by a 25 minute video that visually takes you through this journey.
A number of guest speakers will also feature sharing experiences and thoughts regarding this month's event.
