Kids Summer Crafts 2025 | Paint, Make and Craft

Description

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids during the summer holidays, then this is it. Join us in the Denby Craft Studio as we celebrate summer and get creative with our choice of clay, paint and craft activities.

Secure your £2.50 entry space and then choose from ONE of the following activities on the day of your visit (recommended age is 3+ years):

1. Paint their own Medium Denby Plate (22cm): Hand-paint a summer design onto one of our Denby plates using colourful glazes or choose from one of pre-stencilled designs (butterfly or tractor). Our team will fire in the kilns, ready for you to collect at a later date and treasure forever. £14 per plate.

OR

2. Paint their own Trick or Treat Bowl: Get ready for Halloween and hand-paint a spooky design onto one of our Denby pasta bowls using colourful glazes or choose from one of pre-stencilled designs. Our team will fire in the kilns, ready for you to collect at a later date and treasure forever. £14 per pasta bowl.

OR

3. Paint a Fun Shape:  Choose from our selection of fun pottery shapes to colourfully paint using water-based paints and take home with you on the same day. Once home, you can use a clear varnish to make your item glossy (please note that items will not be kiln fired). Prices start from £8.50 per item.

OR

4. Play with Clay: Let their imagination run wild as they create summer-inspired shapes with our Derbyshire clay. Take away on the day to air-dry and paint at home. £7 per child.

OR

5. Summer-Themed Crafts: Choose from our selection of ‘make and take home’ craft activities, including pom pom bee mobiles, decorate a summer cap or paper fan and more (subject to availability on the day). £7 per child.

ADDITIONAL SUMMER TRAIL: There’s also the option to book an additional ticket for our summer trail around Denby Pottery Village. A little monkey has hidden pictures of his zoo friends around Denby Pottery Village. Hunt them down and see if you can find them all to receive a chocolate surprise or dairy free alternative at the end. Tickets for the trail are £3 per child and must be purchased in conjunction with a craft session.
