Description

Prepare to be scared witless this half term and Hallowe’en holiday, as visitor attraction the Heights of Abraham, morphs into the Frights of Abraham.

Under the spell of a mischievous and pesky sprites, The Tommyknockers, the magical hilltop estate, perched high above Matlock Bath, takes on a spooktacular theme this half term.

Children won’t need a broomstick to enter as there is the adventure of travelling to the top of this themed land in the alpine style cable car, flying high above the trees to a fantasy land where magical caverns come to life with atmospheric light effects and music, entertained by characters from long ago, sharing their stories of old!

Listen out for those naughty Tommyknockers, who have escaped the caverns and are now on the run to play a trick or two, but the treat if you spot them all is a golden ticket up for grabs for next year to take home with you.

Brace yourself for witchy scarecrows, witch’s brew and themed cakes in the café and ghost stories deep in the underground caverns told by actors in old fashioned Victorian costume in character. In the Masson Pavilion, Belinda Broomsticks is crowing over her cauldron, ready to tell your fortune for a small fee, and a prize from the lucky dip cauldron. There are lots of other spook-tacular games, tricks and treats on offer throughout the attraction. The enchanting gift shop has crystals in all colours of the rainbow, which can be purchased for magical spell making back at home!
