Pop culture fans, rejoice – Forbidden Planet is returning to Derby after more than three decades! One of the UK’s best-known retailers of comics, Manga, and collectible pop culture merchandise opens its brand-new store on Saturday 21st June, with superhero guests and fanfare to mark the occasion.
The new store at 28 St Peter’s Street will be officially opened by store manager Joshua Knowles and is set to become a major hub for comic, gaming and Manga lovers in the region.
Spanning 5,000 sq ft, highlights of the new store include:
- One of the UK’s largest Manga book sections
- A Funko POP! wall for collectors
- Blind box figures from top brands like POPMART, Sonny Angels and Kaleidos
- A walk-in bank vault to explore
- Dedicated space for Trading Card Game events
- Extensive comic and graphic novel back issues
