Artcore Gallery presents Disruptive Impressions, an innovative printmaking exhibition showcasing works by Artcore’s artists-in-residence Bernie Rutter and Taiba Akhtar, alongside their mentor Chris Barker, co-founder of The Smallprint Company.

This exhibition takes printmaking beyond its conventional two-dimensional form, embracing sculptural elements. The artists, guided by their mentor, experiment with letterpress technology and paper construction to create works that challenge traditional practices. Playing with altered, pierced, and constructed forms, the exhibition explores themes of displacement and disruption.

Through layering meaning and materials, the artists highlight journeys of language and fragmentation, offering a unique perspective on contemporary printmaking.
