Broadway at Elvaston Castle: The Princess Bride
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting two classic outdoor screenings in September at the beautiful Elvaston Castle Country Park in Derbyshire. Set against the backdrop of this huge estate of secret gardens, lakes, mazes and gothic architecture, we’ll be screening two Eighties family classics on consecutive nights: The Princess Bride and Labyrinth.
About the Film
The Princess Bride – Sweethearts Buttercup and Westley are torn apart when his seafaring voyage takes a dark turn. Buttercup ends up unhappily betrothed to the evil Prince Humperdinck. But then a trio of outlaws kidnap her, while a mysterious stranger pursues them into enemy territory. Breathtaking sword fights, dastardly villains, magical miracles and much derring-do makes this action-packed, hilariously knowing fantasy adventure the perfect family film.
