Description
May 2nd is the 200th anniversary of the passing of the Act authorising the Cromford and High Peak Railway.
The Steeple Grange Light Railway operates on the former Killers Branch of the C&HP and will be operating a special service of passenger and goods trains on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the May Day Bank Holiday weekend (May 3rd, 4th & 5th).
The trains service will seek to replicate an original C&HP timetable. Visitors will be able to ride the passenger trains, see and photograph the goods trains in operation at various parts of our line, and visit the engine sheds and quarries en route.
