Description
Join Gabrieli Roar for a performance of the ever-popular Vivaldi Gloria at Derby Cathedral.
In partnership with Derby Cathedral’s Music in Schools Programme, this special performance will see teenagers from Ecclesbourne School and Derby Cathedral School join Gabrieli’s professional singers and orchestra.
The evening opens with two gems of the Baroque repertoire by the English composer Henry Purcell:
- Rejoice in the Lord Alway (‘The Bell Anthem’)
- Come Ye Sons of Art
Come and hear how music written nearly 350 years ago still inspires and enthuses young singers today.
