Live Gig Night at The Hairy Dog
Our gig night, held every other month at The Hairy Dog, brings fresh music to Derby’s top venue. Running from 6pm to 9pm, it’s the perfect Sunday plan — enjoy good food, take a nap, pop to a gig, and still get home early enough for a school night!
Confyde
Confyde is a rock project led by genre-bending alchemist Martin Jackson. Blending melodic hard rock with a range of styles, the end result is a unique fusion of catchy, emotive elements reminiscent of Nothing More, the intense edge of System of a Down, and the eclectic ambition of Porcupine Tree. From the metal riffage of latest single "Scalper" to the reggae-inspired "Man Down," Jackson’s soaring vocals and infectious hooks tie it all together.
Confyde’s live shows are an emotional rollercoaster, resonating with fans invested in each song’s message and eager for the unexpected. In 2024, Confyde is on the Scalping The UK tour, including a main stage appearance at Northants Rocks festival, with plans for more UK gigs and new music in 2025!
Alice for Breakfast
Alice for Breakfast serves up alternative pop-rock with a twist of emo, ska, disco, and prog. Think of them as a slightly off-recipe meal — divergent, occasionally spicy, and always piping hot. Led by vocalist Jess Matthews, this theatrical quartet blends pop-punk, emo anthems, and ballads, delivering an explosive musical experience.
The band’s dynamic sound is driven by Allister’s solid basslines, Nick’s sharp guitar riffs, and Els Longstride’s high-energy drumming. With a flair for drama, Alice for Breakfast takes audiences on a wild journey through love, loss, and lust. Get ready for an unforgettable feast of sound!
Flex Index
Flex Index is an alternative indie pop trio from Derby, drawing on influences from 80s pop, and 90s and 00s rock and indie. Known for their harmonies, hooks, and honesty, Flex Index brings a fresh sound to Derby’s music scene.
All bands are on a door split, ensuring they receive a fair share of ticket sales, with expenses taken out after the bands have been paid. Your support directly benefits the artists, and neither we nor The Hairy Dog take commission on merch sales.
