Peace Doves in the Community

In the weeks and months leading up to the opening day, communities are involved in messaging and decorating the paper doves that form part of the Peace Doves installation.

Local visual arts organisation Artcore, has been working with community groups across the city, facilitating art and creation workshops that will mark hundreds of doves.  Look out for pop-up events and further information at

Schools participating in the project will be incorporating their dove decorating into lessons linked to the themes represented by Peace Doves.  Some schools will return their doves as part of the Cathedral installation, and others will create displays in their settings.

If your group or organisation would like to get involved and arrange some workshops to be delivered at your site, please contact Artcore Project Coordinator
