HUUB Launch Night – Thunderbirds Are Go!

£25 Adults, £20 Concessions & £15 for Under 16s & 16 - 25 Year Olds.

QUAD is proud to partner with HUUB and Derby County Community Trust on a special fundraising evening, celebrating the launch of HUUB’s Thunderbirds clothing collaboration. Join us in the iconic Sir John Hurt Cinema for a screening of Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted (2022), with special guest Jamie Anderson in person and onstage, providing an insight into his father’s life. The evening will be preceded by a VIP reception in QUAD’s gallery, with canapés and complimentary wine, and will end with a private bar.
100% of the ticket income raised from this event will be shared equally between Derby County Community Trust and QUAD, raising important funds for two of the city’s key charities. With giveaways of special prizes included, and a raffle to win some unique prizes, this promises to be a F.A.B. evening not to miss!

Gerry Anderson and his teams produced a collection of groundbreaking and internationally-loved sci-fi adventure shows and films – including Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet – that continue to enthral successive generations decades after their first transmission. But what really inspired and drove him to become such a prolific creator? This new documentary uses previously unseen and unheard interviews, combined with cutting-edge technology, to map Gerry Anderson’s previously uncharted journey: from a poverty-stricken childhood, raised by a Jewish father and an anti-Semitic mother, to becoming a puppetry pioneer and legendary producer.
