Join a hand-picked selection of Derbyshire creatives on Cathedral Green, leading activities for adults and children to join in with, or to sit back and watch.

Including:

• Learn the ancient art of willow weaving from Maggie Cooper and add your piece to a larger-than-life community creation
• Take a moment to reset your body and mind with a programme of taster sessions led by The (award-winning) Breathing Space Yoga Studio
• Use wire to draw and sculpt, make a souvenir to take home, and chat to artists Heidi Luker and Lise Bennett about their ongoing project, steeped in local history: ‘Ambergate Wireworks – The Part They Played’
• Explore movement and rhythm through tap dancing in fun, informal sessions led by teacher and performer Rebecca Jayne
• Join the hunt for hidden words around Cathedral Green, and work with local poet Rob Stamper to create your own Ode to Derbyshire
• Get cutting, sticking, making and more in our Creative Zone, specially tailored to the young and the young at heart
• Make yourself comfy in our chill-out tent and watch stories brought to life by AVP Theatre and a merry band of mischievous puppets

All activities are free of charge. A rolling programme of drop-in sessions will run across the day from 11am – 5pm.
